Overall the BB3 system is a mix of parameters that cannot be described by figures: it’s an extraordinary positioning tool which will optimize the riders’ position on the bike.
Compatible with BB30 or BSC
BB30 seems to have become the new standard but should you decide to go back to the traditional Italian crank then this is no problem with the BB30.
Rigidity (bracket volume, fiber positioning, oval shape)
The oblong shape of the BB3 has been deliberately chosen. The force of the pedals is now spread out over a larger area which improves the behavior of the bike. This larger surface also means that you can hardly hear a sound coming from your crank.
Easy to switch and repair
Since the cups are PRESS FIT, you can switch the position of your pedals at will. There is no need for a disassembly of the bottom bracket.
DI2 Battery storage
The larger access into the frame means that now you can safely hide the DI2 battery and cables inside the frame, keeping it dry and safe.
No Glue structure
Our DMT process provides such a high quality surface that we can place the BB3 cups on to a pre-milled surface without the use of glue. The entire system is held in place by the assembly of the crank on to the bike.
